As a family-owned and operated independent agency, we specialise exclusively in Residential Property Management, Commercial Property Management and Owners Corporation Management.
Established in 1994, our business is led by mother and daughter team Robyn and Laura Dewar-Oldis. Robyn has been working in the real estate industry since 1987, while Laura commenced in the family business at the age of 16 and has now accumulated more than 25 years of hands-on Property Management and Owners Corporation Management experience.
Having lived and worked in Banyule for most of our lives, we have an exceptional understanding of the local property market, the community and the people we proudly serve. Robyn was raised in one of Rosanna’s earliest homes, and over the decades we have developed strong relationships with local tradespeople, contractors, businesses, residents and government authorities. Those local connections allow us to respond quickly and efficiently while providing practical, knowledgeable advice to our clients.
Unlike many larger franchise agencies, we offer a genuine boutique management service. Robyn Dewar-Oldis is the Director and owner of Bedford Dewar Real Estate and has been proudly serving the Banyule community for more than three decades. A fully Licensed Estate Agent since 1994, Robyn has built a reputation for professionalism, integrity and genuinely caring for the people and properties entrusted to her.
Having lived in Banyule her entire life, Robyn possesses an exceptional understanding of the local property market and the community it serves. From attending Rosanna Primary School and Macleod High School through to establishing her own successful independent agency, her deep local knowledge and long-standing relationships have become one of Bedford Dewar Real Estate’s greatest strengths.
Throughout her career, Robyn has specialised in Property Management and Owners Corporation Management, helping landlords, Owners Corporations and property owners navigate an increasingly complex legislative environment with confidence. Her practical advice, attention to detail and proactive approach have earned the trust of clients who value personalised service and direct communication.
Beyond real estate, Robyn has always been passionate about giving back to the community. She served as the inaugural President of the Rosanna Traders Association from 2002 to 2010, helping strengthen local businesses and community initiatives. Her commitment to Banyule has been recognised through numerous community and government awards acknowledging her outstanding contribution and volunteer service.

Away from the office, Robyn enjoys spending time with her family, particularly her four grandchildren, and has a passion for sport. A lifelong Carlton Football Club supporter and avid follower of Test cricket, she also enjoys tennis and ballroom dancing, where she has achieved bronze, silver and gold medals in both Ballroom and New Vogue disciplines.

Meet Laura Dewar-Oldis

Laura Dewar-Oldis is the other half of Bedford Dewar Real Estate and has dedicated more than 25 years to the property management industry. Having commenced working in the family business at just 16 years of age, Laura has literally grown up in real estate, developing an exceptional understanding of Residential Property Management, Commercial Property Management and Owners Corporation Management.
As a second-generation real estate professional, Laura is passionate about continuing the family values that have shaped Bedford Dewar Real Estate since its establishment in 1994. Working alongside her mother, Robyn Dewar-Oldis, she has helped transform the business into one of Banyule’s leading boutique management agencies, built on professionalism, integrity and genuine relationships.
Laura believes successful property management is about far more than collecting rent or coordinating maintenance. It is about protecting people’s investments, building lasting relationships and providing honest advice, proactive communication and personalised service. She understands that every property owner, tenant and Owners Corporation has different needs, and she is committed to delivering practical solutions with professionalism, efficiency and care.
Over the years, Laura has gained extensive experience managing residential investment properties, commercial properties and Owners Corporations of all sizes. Her thorough understanding of Victorian property legislation, attention to detail and proactive management style help ensure clients remain compliant while protecting the long-term value of their investments.
Recognising that property management often involves navigating sensitive and complex situations, Laura also undertook training in counselling to further develop her communication and conflict resolution skills. This additional training has enhanced her ability to listen, understand differing perspectives and resolve disputes professionally, fairly and with empathy. Whether assisting landlords and tenants, supporting Owners Corporation committees or managing difficult situations, Laura strives to achieve positive outcomes while preserving respectful, long-term relationships.
Known for her calm, organised and solutions-focused approach, Laura believes that preventing problems is just as important as resolving them. Through regular communication, proactive inspections, prompt maintenance coordination and careful attention to legislative compliance, she works to ensure every property under Bedford Dewar Real Estate’s care is managed to the highest possible standard.
Outside of real estate, Laura is a proud mother who understands the importance of balancing family, business and community. She has always been actively involved in local schools, fundraising initiatives and community events, reflecting the same commitment and care that she brings to her professional life.
Laura’s diverse professional background reflects her passion for lifelong learning and personal development. She previously owned and operated a successful dance school in Rosanna for many years and holds a TAAD Diploma of Teaching (Dance) together with the prestigious Elly Lukas Diploma. She also holds a Level IV Certificate in Office Administration, has completed professional real estate qualifications, maintains a current Working with Children Check, a Pre-Veterinary Studies course and studied counselling reflecting her lifelong love of animals and commitment to continually expanding her knowledge.
Today, Laura personally oversees the day-to-day operations of Bedford Dewar Real Estate alongside Robyn. One of the agency’s greatest points of difference is that clients deal directly with the business owners, ensuring continuity, accountability and genuinely personalised service. Every property is managed as though it were their own, with the understanding that successful management comes from communication, trust and attention to detail.
